Description:
This custom-built home features 9,200 finished square feet and was built using insulating concrete forms (ICF) for exterior above grade walls to maximize energy efficiency and keep heating and cooling costs to a minimum. The home also utilizes efficient in-floor radiant heat and geothermal technology. The end result is an estimated heating and cooling cost of just $750 per year!
As an added benefit, by using Cemstone ICF's for the exterior walls the builder was able to reduce the original construction timeline. And the ICF construction allowed for a very open floor plan that demonstrates the flexibility of home designs that use concrete wall construction.
Other features on this house include a theatre room built with ICF's to eliminate sound transmission. Colored and stamped concrete was used for the beautiful driveway and sidewalks which flow to the backyard. The builder also used hollow concrete core planks in the garage to create more storage areas under the main garage level.
