The American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge program serve cancer patients and their families who need to travel long distances for their treatments. Often, this is the only opportunity for low-income families to receive this level of treatment. Many choose lesser treatment options because they can’t afford the travel or lodging costs. At Hope Lodge, patients can stay as long as needed. Typical stays are 3-4 weeks.

Cancer patients are resting both day and night, and in the University’s high traffic area this sound reduction is extremely important. The building exterior above--grade walls are built using insulating concrete form (ICF) technology, which saves energy and reduces noise.. For these reasons the American Cancer Society always builds with concrete.

Cemstone was proud to donate the concrete used for this project to provide a caring environment for those faced with the challenges of cancer treatments.
