More than eighty-six years and four generations ago it all started with a commitment to quality, and a vision of bigger things to come. In 1927 Hammon T. Becken founded a company that focused on the production of sand and gravel to manufacture concrete blocksultimately to be used in the construction of high-quality, reasonably-priced homes.

From the early days when sand was dug by hand and sold by the bushel to today's high-tech methods of producing quality ready mixed concrete and aggregates for an ever changing construction market, Cemstone has developed a tradition of excellence since our inception. Originally founded by Hammon T. Becken IN 1927, early business was focused on concrete block production and concrete home construction. As the business grew, both sand and gravel production were added and the company was incorporated.

The growth Cemstone has experienced over the years is due to a strategy of merging with, and acquiring other strong family businesses that are compliments to our core functions and values. We wish to say thank you to all of those who have come to us through other companies, and have chosen to continue to be an invaluable part of the Cemstone family.
